Building a fashion business is not a one and done process, it is ever evolving as you and the sector change. You have to stay the path and let your ideas give new life to the art and business you form through design.

In 2013, I moved to Bali, Indonesia from London and set out to build my own fashion brand. Despite having completed a Masters in Fashion Entrepreneurship & Innovation from the London College of Fashion and having worked for various fashion houses such as Burberry, Alexander McQueen, Gucci, Hugo Boss, DVF, Mulberry and more I really had to learn most of my practice against the grain of what I was taught in the industry.

I launched the Elsa Fitzgerald fashion house that was designed, developed and Made in Bali where I lived for 3-years. It was then that I found a different way to grow and expand a start-up fashion house. My first collection sold to buyers from London, Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney and more.

After 7-years in London and 3-years in Bali, I returned to my hometown of Baltimore and became driven to support other fashion founders to navigate a system that has been created for the big business of fashion.

I found a pathway that avoids the debt ridden system to beta test prototypes and pre-sell small batch production marketing runs to gauge market interest.

I even created an accelerator program to keep the entrepreneurs inspired connected and learning on a weekly basis live with me. I know how lonely and confusing it was for me at the start and it does not need to be that way. There is specialized knowledge that can help you cut out the noise and focus on the right next steps towards growth.
